From Summer Glow to Fall Care: Helping Your Skin Adjust to the Season

I

As the weather begins to change, your skincare routine may need a few changes too. Even if the temperatures are still warm during the day, cooler mornings, lower humidity, indoor air conditioning, and longer showers can begin to affect how your skin feels.

You may notice that skin that felt perfectly comfortable during the summer suddenly feels a little drier, tighter, or less smooth. This is often a sign that your skin needs a little more moisture and protection as the seasons transition.

Fall is a great time to start layering moisture. Applying a lightweight body oil after your shower while your skin is still slightly damp can help seal in moisture and leave your skin feeling soft without feeling overly heavy. If certain areas tend to become especially dry, such as your elbows, knees, hands, or feet, adding a richer body butter can give those areas a little extra care.

Your cleansing routine matters too. Hot showers may feel relaxing when temperatures begin to cool, but very hot water can leave your skin feeling dry. Try using comfortably warm water and follow with moisturizer soon after bathing.

You don’t need to completely change everything you use when the season changes. Sometimes small adjustments are enough. Pay attention to how your skin feels and give it a little more moisture when it asks for it.

Fall skincare is all about preparing your skin before dryness becomes uncomfortable. A little consistency now can help keep your skin feeling nourished, restored, and Kashmere soft all season long.
